Land van melk en honing
Omschrijving:
DE REIS
We beginnen onze tocht in het zuiden van Jordanië waar we vanaf Aqaba naar Wadi Rum rijden, een van de mooiste woestijnlandschappen van Jordanië. We ervaren de woestijn met zijn dorre vlakten, de overweldigende schoonheid van granieten en zandstenen rotsformaties, maar ook de oases waar het leven opbloeit. Een van de hoogtepunten is een bezoek aan de verborgen stad Petra. Deze woestijnstad, uitgehouwen in de rotsen, stamt uit de tijd van de Nabateeërs, een handelsvolk uit de vroege Oudheid. We volgen Mozes op zijn weg tot aan de berg Nebo waar we - net als Mozes destijds - uitkijken over het beloofde land. Mozes mocht het land niet binnengaan, maar het volk trok verder. Net als zij trekken ook wij ter hoogte van Jericho de Jordaan over en bezoeken belangrijke plaatsen die getuigen van de geschiedenis van het land en zijn bewoners. We bezoeken Masada en Qumran, de plek waar de Dode Zeerollen gevonden zijn. We wandelen door de oase van Ein Gedi en zwemmen in de Dode Zee.
Hoogtepunt van de reis is een bezoek aan de heilige plaatsen. In Jeruzalem wandelen we over de Olijfberg en door de tuin van Getsemane. We gaan naar de baden van Betesda en de Sint Annakerk. We wandelen door de oude stad, over de Via Dolorosa. We bezoeken de zaal van het laatste avondmaal en de H. Grafkerk en we gaan naar de Klaagmuur bij de Tempelberg. Ook bezoeken we Yad Vashem, het indrukwekkende museum ter herinnering aan de Holocaust. In Betlehem bezoeken we de Geboortekerk met de Geboortegrot. Daarna vertrekken we naar Tiberias waar we een boottocht maken over het meer. We wandelen over de berg van de Zaligsprekingen en bezoeken het kerkje van de Broodvermenigvuldiging bij Tabgha gelegen aan de rand van het meer.
Indrukwekkend is een bezoek aan Kafarnaum met de synagoge en het huis van Petrus, waar de verhalen uit het evangelie als het ware tot leven komen.
We vertrekken uit Tiberias voor een bezoek aan Nazaret en het dorpje Kana. Jezus was er samen met Maria te gast op een bruiloft en verrichtte er Zijn eerste wonder waarbij Hij water in wijn veranderde. Daarna reizen we verder naar Megiddo voor een bezoek aan het oude Armageddon. Ten slotte bezoeken we Caesarea, een belangrijke stad voor de Romeinen en Kruisvaarders. Paulus zat hier twee jaar gevangen voordat hij naar Rome werd overgebracht. Ga mee op deze bijzondere reis en ervaar het zelf…
STUDIE EN VERDIEPING
Aan de reis gaan vijf studieavonden vooraf waarin we ons gaan verdiepen in wat de Bijbel verhaalt over het leven van Mozes en van Jezus van Nazaret, twee grote religieuze leiders die tot op de dag van vandaag voor miljoenen mensen wereldwijd van ongekende betekenis zijn.

Omschrijving:
DE REIS
We beginnen onze tocht in het zuiden van Jordanië waar we vanaf Aqaba naar Wadi Rum rijden, een van de mooiste woestijnlandschappen van Jordanië. We ervaren de woestijn met zijn dorre vlakten, de overweldigende schoonheid van granieten en zandstenen rotsformaties, maar ook de oases waar het leven opbloeit. Een van de hoogtepunten is een bezoek aan de verborgen stad Petra. Deze woestijnstad, uitgehouwen in de rotsen, stamt uit de tijd van de Nabateeërs, een handelsvolk uit de vroege Oudheid. We volgen Mozes op zijn weg tot aan de berg Nebo waar we - net als Mozes destijds - uitkijken over het beloofde land. Mozes mocht het land niet binnengaan, maar het volk trok verder. Net als zij trekken ook wij ter hoogte van Jericho de Jordaan over en bezoeken belangrijke plaatsen die getuigen van de geschiedenis van het land en zijn bewoners. We bezoeken Masada en Qumran, de plek waar de Dode Zeerollen gevonden zijn. We wandelen door de oase van Ein Gedi en zwemmen in de Dode Zee.
Hoogtepunt van de reis is een bezoek aan de heilige plaatsen. In Jeruzalem wandelen we over de Olijfberg en door de tuin van Getsemane. We gaan naar de baden van Betesda en de Sint Annakerk. We wandelen door de oude stad, over de Via Dolorosa. We bezoeken de zaal van het laatste avondmaal en de H. Grafkerk en we gaan naar de Klaagmuur bij de Tempelberg. Ook bezoeken we Yad Vashem, het indrukwekkende museum ter herinnering aan de Holocaust. In Betlehem bezoeken we de Geboortekerk met de Geboortegrot. Daarna vertrekken we naar Tiberias waar we een boottocht maken over het meer. We wandelen over de berg van de Zaligsprekingen en bezoeken het kerkje van de Broodvermenigvuldiging bij Tabgha gelegen aan de rand van het meer.
Indrukwekkend is een bezoek aan Kafarnaum met de synagoge en het huis van Petrus, waar de verhalen uit het evangelie als het ware tot leven komen.
We vertrekken uit Tiberias voor een bezoek aan Nazaret en het dorpje Kana. Jezus was er samen met Maria te gast op een bruiloft en verrichtte er Zijn eerste wonder waarbij Hij water in wijn veranderde. Daarna reizen we verder naar Megiddo voor een bezoek aan het oude Armageddon. Ten slotte bezoeken we Caesarea, een belangrijke stad voor de Romeinen en Kruisvaarders. Paulus zat hier twee jaar gevangen voordat hij naar Rome werd overgebracht. Ga mee op deze bijzondere reis en ervaar het zelf…
STUDIE EN VERDIEPING
Aan de reis gaan vijf studieavonden vooraf waarin we ons gaan verdiepen in wat de Bijbel verhaalt over het leven van Mozes en van Jezus van Nazaret, twee grote religieuze leiders die tot op de dag van vandaag voor miljoenen mensen wereldwijd van ongekende betekenis zijn.

Omschrijving:
DE REIS
We beginnen onze tocht in het zuiden van Jordanië waar we vanaf Aqaba naar Wadi Rum rijden, een van de mooiste woestijnlandschappen van Jordanië. We ervaren de woestijn met zijn dorre vlakten, de overweldigende schoonheid van granieten en zandstenen rotsformaties, maar ook de oases waar het leven opbloeit. Een van de hoogtepunten is een bezoek aan de verborgen stad Petra. Deze woestijnstad, uitgehouwen in de rotsen, stamt uit de tijd van de Nabateeërs, een handelsvolk uit de vroege Oudheid. We volgen Mozes op zijn weg tot aan de berg Nebo waar we - net als Mozes destijds - uitkijken over het beloofde land. Mozes mocht het land niet binnengaan, maar het volk trok verder. Net als zij trekken ook wij ter hoogte van Jericho de Jordaan over en bezoeken belangrijke plaatsen die getuigen van de geschiedenis van het land en zijn bewoners. We bezoeken Masada en Qumran, de plek waar de Dode Zeerollen gevonden zijn. We wandelen door de oase van Ein Gedi en zwemmen in de Dode Zee.
Hoogtepunt van de reis is een bezoek aan de heilige plaatsen. In Jeruzalem wandelen we over de Olijfberg en door de tuin van Getsemane. We gaan naar de baden van Betesda en de Sint Annakerk. We wandelen door de oude stad, over de Via Dolorosa. We bezoeken de zaal van het laatste avondmaal en de H. Grafkerk en we gaan naar de Klaagmuur bij de Tempelberg. Ook bezoeken we Yad Vashem, het indrukwekkende museum ter herinnering aan de Holocaust. In Betlehem bezoeken we de Geboortekerk met de Geboortegrot. Daarna vertrekken we naar Tiberias waar we een boottocht maken over het meer. We wandelen over de berg van de Zaligsprekingen en bezoeken het kerkje van de Broodvermenigvuldiging bij Tabgha gelegen aan de rand van het meer.
Indrukwekkend is een bezoek aan Kafarnaum met de synagoge en het huis van Petrus, waar de verhalen uit het evangelie als het ware tot leven komen.
We vertrekken uit Tiberias voor een bezoek aan Nazaret en het dorpje Kana. Jezus was er samen met Maria te gast op een bruiloft en verrichtte er Zijn eerste wonder waarbij Hij water in wijn veranderde. Daarna reizen we verder naar Megiddo voor een bezoek aan het oude Armageddon. Ten slotte bezoeken we Caesarea, een belangrijke stad voor de Romeinen en Kruisvaarders. Paulus zat hier twee jaar gevangen voordat hij naar Rome werd overgebracht. Ga mee op deze bijzondere reis en ervaar het zelf…
STUDIE EN VERDIEPING
Aan de reis gaan vijf studieavonden vooraf waarin we ons gaan verdiepen in wat de Bijbel verhaalt over het leven van Mozes en van Jezus van Nazaret, twee grote religieuze leiders die tot op de dag van vandaag voor miljoenen mensen wereldwijd van ongekende betekenis zijn.

Land van melk en honing
Omschrijving:
DE REIS
We beginnen onze tocht in het zuiden van Jordanië waar we vanaf Aqaba naar Wadi Rum rijden, een van de mooiste woestijnlandschappen van Jordanië. We ervaren de woestijn met zijn dorre vlakten, de overweldigende schoonheid van granieten en zandstenen rotsformaties, maar ook de oases waar het leven opbloeit. Een van de hoogtepunten is een bezoek aan de verborgen stad Petra. Deze woestijnstad, uitgehouwen in de rotsen, stamt uit de tijd van de Nabateeërs, een handelsvolk uit de vroege Oudheid. We volgen Mozes op zijn weg tot aan de berg Nebo waar we - net als Mozes destijds - uitkijken over het beloofde land. Mozes mocht het land niet binnengaan, maar het volk trok verder. Net als zij trekken ook wij ter hoogte van Jericho de Jordaan over en bezoeken belangrijke plaatsen die getuigen van de geschiedenis van het land en zijn bewoners. We bezoeken Masada en Qumran, de plek waar de Dode Zeerollen gevonden zijn. We wandelen door de oase van Ein Gedi en zwemmen in de Dode Zee.
Hoogtepunt van de reis is een bezoek aan de heilige plaatsen. In Jeruzalem wandelen we over de Olijfberg en door de tuin van Getsemane. We gaan naar de baden van Betesda en de Sint Annakerk. We wandelen door de oude stad, over de Via Dolorosa. We bezoeken de zaal van het laatste avondmaal en de H. Grafkerk en we gaan naar de Klaagmuur bij de Tempelberg. Ook bezoeken we Yad Vashem, het indrukwekkende museum ter herinnering aan de Holocaust. In Betlehem bezoeken we de Geboortekerk met de Geboortegrot. Daarna vertrekken we naar Tiberias waar we een boottocht maken over het meer. We wandelen over de berg van de Zaligsprekingen en bezoeken het kerkje van de Broodvermenigvuldiging bij Tabgha gelegen aan de rand van het meer.
Indrukwekkend is een bezoek aan Kafarnaum met de synagoge en het huis van Petrus, waar de verhalen uit het evangelie als het ware tot leven komen.
We vertrekken uit Tiberias voor een bezoek aan Nazaret en het dorpje Kana. Jezus was er samen met Maria te gast op een bruiloft en verrichtte er Zijn eerste wonder waarbij Hij water in wijn veranderde. Daarna reizen we verder naar Megiddo voor een bezoek aan het oude Armageddon. Ten slotte bezoeken we Caesarea, een belangrijke stad voor de Romeinen en Kruisvaarders. Paulus zat hier twee jaar gevangen voordat hij naar Rome werd overgebracht. Ga mee op deze bijzondere reis en ervaar het zelf…
STUDIE EN VERDIEPING
Aan de reis gaan vijf studieavonden vooraf waarin we ons gaan verdiepen in wat de Bijbel verhaalt over het leven van Mozes en van Jezus van Nazaret, twee grote religieuze leiders die tot op de dag van vandaag voor miljoenen mensen wereldwijd van ongekende betekenis zijn.

[description] => Deze reis 'Land van melk en honing' wordt georganiseerd vanuit de twee parochie in Overbetuwe, St. Benedictus en de Levensbron. De reisleidsters zijn pastor Janine Kallen en Yvonne Vos. Zij organiseren voor de zesde keer een Bijbelreis. Telkens naar een land welke in de Bijbel voorkomt. Deze keer zal de reis gaan naar Israël en Jordanië.
Op deze rondreis door Bijbels Land maken we volop kennis met Bijbelse geschiedenis, horen we over eeuwenoude cultuur en genieten we van gevarieerd natuurschoon.
We volgen het laatste gedeelte van de weg vanuit Egypte door de woestijn, waarop Mozes zijn volk destijds is voorgegaan naar het beloofde land.
In Israël bezoeken we de heilige plaatsen.

We beginnen onze tocht in het zuiden van Jordanië waar we vanaf Aqaba naar Wadi Rum rijden, een van de mooiste woestijnlandschappen van Jordanië. We ervaren de woestijn met zijn dorre vlakten, de overweldigende schoonheid van granieten en zandstenen rotsformaties, maar ook de oases waar het leven opbloeit. Een van de hoogtepunten is een bezoek aan de verborgen stad Petra. Deze woestijnstad, uitgehouwen in de rotsen, stamt uit de tijd van de Nabateeërs, een handelsvolk uit de vroege Oudheid. We volgen Mozes op zijn weg tot aan de berg Nebo waar we - net als Mozes destijds - uitkijken over het beloofde land. Mozes mocht het land niet binnengaan, maar het volk trok verder. Net als zij trekken ook wij ter hoogte van Jericho de Jordaan over en bezoeken belangrijke plaatsen die getuigen van de geschiedenis van het land en zijn bewoners. We bezoeken Masada en Qumran, de plek waar de Dode Zeerollen gevonden zijn. We wandelen door de oase van Ein Gedi en zwemmen in de Dode Zee.
Hoogtepunt van de reis is een bezoek aan de heilige plaatsen. In Jeruzalem wandelen we over de Olijfberg en door de tuin van Getsemane. We gaan naar de baden van Betesda en de Sint Annakerk. We wandelen door de oude stad, over de Via Dolorosa. We bezoeken de zaal van het laatste avondmaal en de H. Grafkerk en we gaan naar de Klaagmuur bij de Tempelberg. Ook bezoeken we Yad Vashem, het indrukwekkende museum ter herinnering aan de Holocaust. In Betlehem bezoeken we de Geboortekerk met de Geboortegrot. Daarna vertrekken we naar Tiberias waar we een boottocht maken over het meer. We wandelen over de berg van de Zaligsprekingen en bezoeken het kerkje van de Broodvermenigvuldiging bij Tabgha gelegen aan de rand van het meer.
Indrukwekkend is een bezoek aan Kafarnaum met de synagoge en het huis van Petrus, waar de verhalen uit het evangelie als het ware tot leven komen.
We vertrekken uit Tiberias voor een bezoek aan Nazaret en het dorpje Kana. Jezus was er samen met Maria te gast op een bruiloft en verrichtte er Zijn eerste wonder waarbij Hij water in wijn veranderde. Daarna reizen we verder naar Megiddo voor een bezoek aan het oude Armageddon. Ten slotte bezoeken we Caesarea, een belangrijke stad voor de Romeinen en Kruisvaarders. Paulus zat hier twee jaar gevangen voordat hij naar Rome werd overgebracht. Ga mee op deze bijzondere reis en ervaar het zelf…
STUDIE EN VERDIEPING
Aan de reis gaan vijf studieavonden vooraf waarin we ons gaan verdiepen in wat de Bijbel verhaalt over het leven van Mozes en van Jezus van Nazaret, twee grote religieuze leiders die tot op de dag van vandaag voor miljoenen mensen wereldwijd van ongekende betekenis zijn.
